Come Out With Pride: 2021

Finally, a little taste of normalcy. Come Out With Pride at Lake Eola has returned after the pandemic.

Sure, technically it happened last year in a virtual environment, but that's not the same. We got to go outside, watch a parade, hold hands in public, and wave our tiny little rainbow flags!

We got to see David Bromstad, and all I can think is "hopefully we'll see you soon for help on finding our Lottery Dream Home". LOL

We had Logan, Ellany, and Ellany's Dad with us again this year. We also were joined by Olivia, Kyle, Archer, Missy, and Travis.

We got to eat plenty of junk food, and then some healthy food for good measure. We got to watch fireworks, and a couple of drag and trans performers. I got to see the Pups. I'm telling you, I'm starting to discover a new interest of mine in the pup and furry communities.

It was just a magical experience overall.

I wish straight people could understand the point of Pride. To be able to hold David's hand in a public setting and not feel threatened is just the most amazing feeling in the world. To be able to hug on him, land a quick and classy kiss on the lips, and just be ourselves is what Pride is for me. It's a feeling that I don't get to have 364 days out of the year. The world may have changed ever-so-slightly and opened it's mind a little more, but the fact is it is still very much dangerous to do any of that any other day of the year.

Anyways, I'll stop rambling on and just share a few of my favorite photos from yesterday.
