It's Christmas at Mom's House!
I should clarify a bit as we do not celebrate Christmas really, only Christmas Eve. Christmas Day sucks, so when I say "It's Christmas" really I mean it's Christmas Eve.
It seems like every holiday of every year Mom threatens to not celebrate it, Olivia and I revolt, and she caves in. It's like a traditional song and dance we do for the holidays. It's just, holidays would not be the same anywhere else.
Mom went all in this year though. We had our Christmas brekky, snacks, games, and dinner. Olivia closed the night out by reading Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids. Also, I just want to say that I've learned NEVER to sit next to David when playing games. Mom has real prizes for these games and this motherfucker gets competitive with me. With me! Like if one of us win we both win, but he don't care and he still wants to see me lose. I wasn't trying to be competitive, and in fact kept going really slow to give Lily extra time on my turn when playing the unwrap game where we're wearing oven mits and a hat and we're trying to unwrap a gift before the next person can roll a double. David? He was trying to roll a double before I could even put the mits on. I wanted to choke the life from his body.
I love my family. The holidays are and always be the highlight of every year as it's just so fun to hang out with the family, play games, and just be goofy.
