First Art of 2024

 

We just got back our first art piece of 2024. 

I wanted to do an artpiece that was a little different. I'm a smoker. A heavy smoker unfortunately and I kind of wanted to get an art piece of Ebb smoking. In my head he's not a smoker really, but maybe enjoys the casual drag when partying it up at night. 

The goal with this piece was to have something with no background that I could put a background to in order to create a phone wallpaper or desktop wallpaper. The artist RETHORNAL agreed to do that for me, but provided the art with the background shown in the thumbnail for this post as well as a translucent background. I love the work this artist does and she's fast! I always feel bad because she charges way too low for an artist of her skill but I do try to add a generous tip to compensate.

In fact, since I know nobody reads these posts (which I'm not saying sourly at all since this blog is more for me and my forgetting than sharing with people) I can feel comfortable saying that I've commissioned a surprise piece for my Horny Fuckers group with all of us in it. That's 8 people and she tried to charge me $100. I was thinking it would cost somewhere upwards of $300. 

I'm hoping to commission plenty of art for the year and to be honest I'll keep using RETHORNAL for our art. I think we'll keep using our other artist for my stickers just so there is continuity in the style, but I love the way she does Flow and I.
